In the middle of May, the end of June seemed ages away, and plenty of time to make another poncho. With the unscheduled socks, some household plumbing issues (we have now been without a working shower in our bathroom for four weeks and counting - not good!), training for my 10K run this Sunday, and the usual day-to-day distractions of being a working parent, the poncho has taken longer than I anticipated but I really, really want to try to get it finished before the month rolls over. Wish me luck - I think I'm going to need it!!
With only three days left in my Ravelry Shawl-Along, it is now a mad rush to try to finish my poncho in time! I set out with the best of intentions. I love my purple Kingsdown Cliffs, and have been saving this skein of Wollmeise lace in Yotta for just the right project, and I know this is definitely the right combination. However, I got distracted by a sock test knit for fellow designer (and also one of my regular tech editors) Dana Gervais.
